Deaths in Donegal - Wednesday evening, February 27, 2019

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

- Anne McHugh, Arranmore Island

- Mary Anne McWeeney, The Mall, Ballyshannon

- Christina Farren, St Paul’s Park, Greencastle

- Brendan Gallagher, 13 Gartan Avenue, Strabane and formerly of Ballindrait

- Annie Walker, Magherabeg, Burnfoot

- Brendan McLaughlin, Stranorlar

- Mary McGranaghan, Enniskillen and Ballybofey

Anne McHugh, Arranmore Island 

The death has occurred at her late residence of Anne McHugh, Arranmore Island.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral Mass on Friday morning, March 1 at 11am in St Crone’s Church, Arranmore with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

Family flowers only please.

Mary Anne McWeeney, The Mall, Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Mary Anne McWeeney, The Mall, Ballyshannon in The Blackrock Clinic in Dublin.

Remains will arrive in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon on Thursday for 11am Funeral Mass followed by interment in the Abbey Cemetery, Ballyshannon.

Family flowers only; donations in lieu to the Sheil Hospital Patient Comfort Fund c/o Peter Carty Funeral Director, Garrison, Co. Fermanagh or any family member. House strictly private please.

Christina Farren, St Paul’s Park, Greencastle

The death has taken place at Galway University Hospital of Christina Farren, St Paul’s Park, Greencastle.

Remains reposing at her late residence.

Family time please from 10pm until 11am.

Funeral from her home on Friday, March 1, at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyrack, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Brendan Gallagher, 13 Gartan Avenue, Strabane and formerly of Ballindrait

The death has taken place at his home of Brendan Gallagher, 13 Gartan Avenue, Strabane and formerly of Ballindrait.

Reposing at his home. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday morning, February 28 at 11.20am for Service in St Mary`s Church, Melmount at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers please to the Foyle Hospice c/o Quigley Funeral Directors, 1A Newtown Place, Strabane.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

Annie Walker, Magherabeg, Burnfoot

The death has taken place of Annie Walker, Magherabeg, Burnfoot. Her remains are reposing at her home.

Funeral on Thursday morning leaving her home at 10.15am going to St Mura’s Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

Brendan McLaughlin, 10 Mulreny Terrace, Stranorlar

The sudden death has occurred at the Mater Hospital, Dublin of Brendan McLaughlin, 10 Mulreny Terrace, Stranorlar.

Remains reposing at the home of his brother and sister in law, Gerard and Teresa Mc Laughlin,16 Ash Meadows, Drumboe, Stranorlar on Wednesday, February 27 from 11am until rosary at 10pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday at 10.20am for requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, with interment afterwards in Drumboe cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, care of any family member.  

Mary McGranaghan, Enniskillen and Ballybofey 

The death has occurred of Mary McGranaghan, Enniskillen and Ballybofey.

Remains reposing at her brother Kevin’s residence Trusk Road, Ballybofey. They will leave his residence at 10.15am on Thursday for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
