Death of Petey Joe

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

- Brendan McDaid, Moycullen, Co Galway, formerly of Ballylawn, Moville

- Kitty Herbert née McLaughlin, Naas, Kildare and Letterkenny

- Michael Carr, Templeogue, Dublin and Kilcar

- Mary McClafferty, née McFadden, Falcarragh and formerly Dunfanaghy

- Mark Ivers, 24 Gaddyduff, Clonmany

Brendan McDaid, Moycullen, Co Galway, formerly of Ballylawn, Moville

The death has taken place at Galway University hospital of Brendan McDaid, Late of Moycullen, Co Galway and formerly of Ballylawn, Moville.

His remains will repose at the home of his parents Bridie and Joe McDaid, Ballylawn from 7pm until 10pm on Friday evening August 3rd.

Family time please on Saturday August 4th from 10pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday August 5th at 11.15am for 12 noon requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung, Quigleys Point.

Followed by private cremation at lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan.

Kitty Herbert née McLaughlin, Naas, Kildare and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Kitty Herbert, née McLaughlin, Ashgrove Drive, Naas, Kildare and Letterkenny.

Reposing at her home on Friday from 3pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 9.20am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Caragh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Friends of St. Brigid's Hospice. Donation box in church.


Michael Carr, Templeogue, Dublin and Kilcar

The death has occurred of Michael Carr, late of Templeogue, Dublin and Kilcar.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road, on Friday, August 3, from 3pm to 6pm. Removal on Saturday, August 4 to the Victorian Chapel at Mt. Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross, arriving for 10 am. Funeral Service followed by burial at Mt. Venus Cemetery, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham.


Mary McClafferty, née McFadden, Falcarragh and formerly Dunfanaghy

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Mc Clafferty née Mc Fadden, Rocktown Falcarragh and formerly from Casey, Dunfanaghy.

Removal from Eternal Light Chapel of Reston Friday, August 3 at 5pm going to St Finian's Church Falcarragh to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 4 at 2pm in St Finian's Church Falcarragh with Burial afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery Dunfanaghy.

Family Flowers only, Donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimer’s Society c/o any family member or McClafferty Funeral Directors Gortahork.

Mark Ivers, 24 Gaddyduff, Clonmany

The sudden death has occurred of Mark Ivers, 24 Gaddyduff, Clonmany. Reposing at his parents Jimmy and Angela's residence, 9 Gaddyduff, Clonmany.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, August 4 at 10.20am going to St. Mary's Church, Clonmany for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the new cemetery. Family flower only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. House private from 11pm to 10am please.
