Deaths in Donegal - Friday evening, March 16th, 2017

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

- Theresa Orr née Boyle and formerly Dore, Bunbeg

- Bridget O’Hara, Upper Leabgarrow, Arranmore Island

- Muriel Sherlock, Teragus, Churchill

- Susan Doherty (née Duddy), 281 Ard Baithin, St Johnston

- Bernadette Fullerton, Umricam, Buncrana

- Tommy Sheridan, Main St, Rathmullan

- Neily Boyle, Annagry and formerly of Renfrew, Scotland

- Patsy Gallagher, Drumboe, Stranorlar

- Willie Mc Menamin, Corraine, Ballybofey

Theresa Orr née Boyle and formerly Dore, Bunbeg

The death has taken place in Glasgow of Theresa Orr née Boyle and formerly of Dore, Bunbeg.

Removal to Gweedore Funeral Home on Saturday 17th March to arrive at approximately 4.45pm for waking until Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass in St Marys Chapel, Derrybeg on Sunday morning 18th March at 11am

Burial afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.

Bridget O’Hara, Upper Leabgarrow, Arranmore Island

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Bridget O’Hara, Upper Leabgarrow, Arranmore Island.

Her remains will be in Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home this evening, Thursday 15th March from 6pm with removal from there for the ferry at 7pm.

Funeral mass tomorrow, Saturday 17th March on the island at 1 o’clock with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Muriel Sherlock, Teragus, Churchill

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Muriel Sherlock, Terargus, Churchill.

Funeral leaving the Hospice tomorrow, Friday 15th March at 11 o’clock going to her late residence at Terargus.

Funeral leaving there on Saturday afternoon, 17th March at 12:30p.m. for 1 o’clock Service in St. Columba’s Church, Churchill with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

House Private, Family and Friends welcome.

Susan Doherty (née Duddy), 281 Ard Baithin, St Johnston

The death has occurred of Susan Doherty (née Duddy), 281 Ard Baithin, St Johnston.
Removal on Saturday morning from her residence at 9.30am to St. Baithin’s Church, St. Johnston for Requiem Mass at 10am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society Donegal Branch.

Bernadette Fullerton, Umricam, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Bernadette Fullerton, Umricam, Buncrana.

Removal from her home on Saturday, 17th March, at 10.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Tommy Sheridan, Main St, Rathmullan

The death has occurred at Lettekenny University Hospital of Tommy Sheridan, Main St, Rathmullan.  Remains reposing at his home. Requiem Mass at 1.00pm on Saturday followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Neily Boyle, Annagry and formerly of Renfrew, Scotland

The death has taken place at the Royal Alexandria Hospital, Paisley, of Neily Boyle, formerly of Annagry and Renfrew, Scotland.

Remains will be received at St James’ Church, Renfrew at 6pm on Sunday, March 18th to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass at 9.30 on Monday 19th March, with burial thereafter at Bishopton cemetery.

Willie Mc Menamin, Corraine, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Willie Mc Menamin, Corraine, Ballybofey at his home in his 100th year.

Remains reposing at his late residence.

Funeral leaving his home on Saturday, March 17th at 2.15 pm for Requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady Of Perpetual Succour ,Glenfin at 3pm with interment afterwards in Kilteevogue cemetery.

Rosary each night will be at 9 pm.

A one-way system will be in operation.

Patsy Gallagher, Drumboe, Stranorlar


The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Patsy Gallagher, Drumboe, Stranorlar.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool's Funeral home on Friday, March 16th, from 5pm until removal at 7pm to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 17th, at 11 am ,with interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.
