Demand for cash remains strong
Adrian McCann of EuroCash, the largest independent ATM company in Ireland said that there still was a big demand for cash in Donegal.
He said, “In an independent study we have learned that 65% of people still prefer to use cash as their main source of payment and outlets like this would be averaging up on 200 transactions per day.
“Over the last number of years we have seen banks closing down in rural areas, a trend that is likely to continue.
“We are well placed to bridge that gap.
“This outlet at Kee’s provides a safe and secure outlet with good car parking - it is the ideal location.”
Desmond Kee said he was delighted to have this machine on his premises. “We have a big footfall through our various sections here at Eurospar and this will provide yet another important service to the customer.
“Not everybody is familiar with computer banking and at least now they will be able to get the service here on their own doorsteps.”
