A free seminar in Donegal’s built heritage will take place in Ballyshannon on November 22.
The County Donegal Heritage Office are hosting a ‘Held in Trust: conserving the built heritage of County Donegal’s towns and villages’ event in Dorrian’s Imperial Hotel, Main Street, Ballyshannon on Saturday, November 22 as part of the implementation of the County Donegal Heritage Plan.
“The built and cultural heritage of our towns and villages makes a significant contribution to our sense of place and identity” said Joseph Gallagher, County Donegal Heritage Officer, Donegal County Council. “Our heritage makes our towns and villages attractive places to live, work and visit. While there is often a strong interest in the history of these towns, it does not always translate into the preservation and conservation of our built and cultural heritage,” he added.
