The second instalment of a new event of live music in Donegal takes place on Saturday, September 26th.
APE spotlights some of the northwest’s finest live acts and returns to McGrory’s in Culdaff following a successful debut in May.
Following a high-octane performance by 12-piece funk orchestra Velvet Alibi, the subtle jazz-infused pop of Great White Lies and the beautiful melodies of Lauren Bird, APE returns with a diverse line-up of bands.
The evening is headlined by Derry group Paddy Nash and The Happy Enchiladas, who weld folk, rock, country and pop into a raucous yet thought-provoking live show.
Derry-based singer-songwriter and composer Comrade Hat will display his musical versatility and the song-writing that has earned him national airplay and a place at the prestigious Hard Working Class Heroes showcase next month in Dublin.
Inishowen’s Great White Lies, fronted by Siobhán Shiels - the driving force behind APE - return with their uplifting set of finely-crafted pop.
The bill is completed by Strength, a four-piece group from Derry, whose innovative song-writing and live performances will also be on display at the Hard Working Class Hero’s festival.
APE, McGrory’s Culdaff, Saturday, September 26th, €10.
