An eagerly awaited concert takes place at the Blue Haven this Sunday, with The Henry Girls, Tom Byrne and friends.
If you’re one of the few people who don’t know about The Henry Girls, who have just returned from a fifteen day tour of Germany, you’ve certainly been missing out. The three talented Donegal sisters - Lorna, Karen and Joleen ‘Henry’ McLaughlin - are renowned for their fine close harmonies and musical arrangements. Their style of music is folk and roots and they write songs that are tuneful, catchy, and warm. Their repertoire is scattered with old and new and their style reflects many influences and tastes.
Tom Byrne and Denise Boyle will join The Henry Girls, and the concert also features singer/songwriter Eunan McIntyre as well as comedy sketches from Agnes and Barney.
This concert is organised by the Kilcar Heritage Committee (Leitir Mill Project) in conjunction with South West Donegal Community Radio.
Doors open at 8.30pm.
