Blue skies over Donegal town this St Patrick's day

The blue skies that enveloped fifth avenue in New York for the parade on Saturday afternoon were ever present in Donegal town today as thousands of guests descended on the town for one of the best parades in years.

Numerous bands played their hearts out, the Clydesdales from Harvey’s Point made a welcome return and the hundreds of children just danced their hearts out.

St Patrick himself, aka Willie John Scott joined the Democrat for a little private party in the Reel Inn before everybody descended on the Diamond which is set to continue.

Enjoy the evening and drive safely tonight.
