Traditions die hard in Donegal and today was no exception when more than 200 parents and children turned out for the annual Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon on the Old Bank Walk.
In bright sunshine the children scoured every nook and cranny on both the higher and lower  banks and indeed even along the shoreline alongside Donegal Bay.
The event is organised by the St. John Bosco Centre and just keeps growing in popularity every year.
Mary McGowan, one of he organisers said, "It really is great to see the numbers getting bigger every year and to see the children and the adults getting so much joy out of just plain innocent fun.
"The smiles on their faces could light up even the darkes night."
