Ger and Tina Diver from Gortahork, will feature in “Cortina” a new documentary about the ford Cortina car.

“Cortina” is a documentary looking at the 50th anniversary of the Ford Cortina. “Cortina” features contributions from members of the Ford Cortina Owners of Ireland and motoring journalists Daragh Ó Tuama and Paul Drury & Rally Driver Rosemary Smith.

On the 21st September 1962 – Ford launched the Cortina, a new family car costing the princely sum of £573 for the 1200cc version.

In 20 years, four generations of Cortina were launched. With each generation selling more than a million around the world.

Good Company Productions along with TG4 present “Cortina” - A heart-warming documentary about the Car brand that captured the hearts of a natation.

With contributions from motoring journalists Daragh Ó Tuama and Paul Drury, Rally Driver Rosemary Smith, Eddie Murphy, Chairman & Managing Director of Ford Ireland, Hazel Ford Buttimer, TV and Radio Personalities Máirtín Davy Ó Coisdealbha, Bernie Ni Fhlatharta and of course the energetic Members of the Ford Cortina Owners of Ireland this will prove to be a half hour of television not to be missed by the most hardened of motoring fanatics to the casual driver. You will discover that there is a bit of Cortina in a lot of us.
