Kickboxing fight-night returns to Letterkenny

Paddy Toland, PT's Kickboxing coach; ISKA Pro World Superwelterweight Kickboxing Champion, Aidan "Lights Out" Laffety; ISKA Super Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, Daniel "Pinta" Quigley; three-weight ISKA Pro Women Kickboxing Champion, Natalie "The Blade" McCarron and former Commonwealth Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Martin Rogan.

PT’s kickboxing and K1 fight night will return to the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny for another action packed fight extravaganza on Saturday week.

The show will feature current ISKA Irish Amateur Light Welterweight Champion, Damien “Dee” McGuinness who will fight for the ISKA World amateur Welterweight kickboxing title.

Donegal’s three-time women’s world professional Kickboxing champion and current winner of the Martial Arts section at the recent Donegal Sports Star awards Natalie “The Blade” McCarron will also fight a professional International fight.

World Super-Welterweight Champion Aidan “Lights Out” Lafferty will fight an ISKA International Professional Light Middleweight title fight.

Derry’s three-time World Pro kickboxing champion Daniel “Pinta” Quigley will fight at K1 rules for the first time.

This bout has been highly anticipated for a long time with low kicks and knees introduced into Pinta’s heavy sparing and training regime.

Current ISKA Junior champion Damien “Kid Dynamite” Duddy from St Johnston will fight for the European Junior title. “Gentleman” Jim Ramsey will fight for the Irish amateur K1 (low kick) title and the ever exciting K1 professional fighter Vaidus Natkus will fight for the Irish Professional K1 Middleweight title

Confirming the show, PRO for PTs gym, Sean McGill said that this will be the biggest ever fight show to be held in the north west.

He said: “Credit must be given to the 2011 ISKA World promoter of the year Paddy Toland. Each and every show he puts on just keeps getting better, and this show will be a testament to all the hard work he has put into promoting kickboxing and K1 fighting in Ireland.”

Top of the bill see’s Damien McGuinness fight for the World Title, Dee as he is known is in fantastic shape and is eager to get into that ring. With any Donegal fighters featuring on the bill it is sure to be a night of high drama, intense action and excitement as the best national and world fighters from Ireland, UK and Europe show their stuff in front of a packed out audience.
