Great success for Marlins Swimming Club

This weekend saw great success again for a number of Marlins Swim Club swimmers.

Eight swimmers attended the Ulster Minor Schools Saturday in Ballymena - Andrea McGlynn (Holy Family NS), Ana Keon (Creevy NS), Emer McGonigle (Creevy NS), Jack Scott (Robertson NS), Darragh Ward (Creevy NS), Una Britton (Creevy NS), Lana Branley (Scoil Catriona NS) and Erin McGowan (Creevy NS). All the children had great swim with Una Britton making the final in both her events and taking bronze in Backstroke. Andrea McGlynn, Ana Keon and Una Britton now go through to the National Schools in Galway on Sunday March 10th, 2013.

Four Swimmers attended the Ulster Burns Qualifying Meets in Larne both Saturday and Sunday - Cian Rooney, Emma Rooney, Eanna O’Hara and Ruby Hurst. Again, great swims by all with new PB’s acheived as well as Division 2 times. Cian Rooney took home 6 Gold Medals, Emma Rooney took bronze in Freestyle, Eanna silver in 400m Freestyle and gold in 100m Freestyle and Ruby Hurst taking home Gold in 50m ButterFly, silver in Back and Bronze in 100m ButterFly.
