Nora Stapleton still in World Cup race

Nora Stapleton, Jackie Shiels and the Irish rugby team kept their World Cup hopes alive with victory over the USA on Tuesday afternoon.

The Irish girls bounced back from a 27-0 defeat by England in the their opening game to come from behind to beat the US Women 22-12. They are now in with a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages if they win their final game with Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The World Cup finals are being staged in Surrey, England.

Nora, from Fahan, again played her part in the victory while Jackie, whose mother is McGinty from Townawilly, outside Donegal Town, is a member of the squad
