McFadden targets All-Ireland

Colm McFadden played in his fourth Ulster final on Sunday and pocketed his second Ulster medal.
And once again with six points - all in the second half - the St Michael’s scoring machine was his team’s top scorer.
“It was frustrating in the first half and I seemed to be all over the place. But things went better for me in the second half and I kicked a few points and when the game opened up there was a little more space and I got a few more chances,” said Colm.
The St. Michael’s man admitted that such has been the change in Donegal fortunes over the last two seasons since the arrival of his brother-in-law Jim McGuinness as manager that he has pinched himself on more than one occasion in recent months.
“It has been a great two years and it is a great time for Donegal football. It is great to be part of it and it is important to make the most of it,” said Colm.
“For a number of years, it was Armagh and Tyrone, and now it is our turn and I suppose these things go in cycles and after winning Ulster for a second year in a row we are up there now.
“Naturally, the objective now has to be to build on this success. The All-Ireland has to be the next target.
“But there are 12/13 other teams still in the race and with the same ambition and goal. We are just going to have to wait on the quarter-final draw and see who we get. But the target has to be to get back to where we were last year and the All-Ireland semi-final.”
