Harps add experience with Funston and Scoltock

Finn Harps have re-signed Michael Funston and Mark Scoltock as player-manager Peter Hutton looks to bring some experience to the Ballybofey club.

Midfielder Funston initially signed for Harps from Bonagee United and picked up a First Division Championship medal in his first season at the club and the Letterkenny native was the club’s top scorer in the 2009 season. Funston had played over 200 games for Harps over 7 seasons before joining Dungannon Swifts in the Irish league at the beginning of the 2011 season.

Scoltock is a central defender was also signed by Felix Healy in July 2005 and played Premier Division football with the club. After two years with Harps he joined Institute in the Irish League where he spent four seasons. He joined up with neighbours Derry City in 2010 where he spent one season picking up a First Division winners medal. Scoltock returned to Institute in 2011.
