Last week-end saw an exodus of talent leaving Donegal to compete in the Community Games National Finals in Athlone. After successfully co-ordinating the Ulster Finals in Letterkenny Donegal had five teams and a lot of individuals competing. Donegal has not had this amount of success in recent years.

Letterkenny East U12 Boys win a bronze medal in soccer. This was a great comeback by the Letterkenny boys after being narrowly defeated the day before in the semi final. They played Maynooth in the playoffs and with great determination went on to win the game 2-0.
U12 girls Gaelic Bundoran team came in fourth place. Under the management of Noel Carr, Paul McGee, Hannah Doherty and Olivia Murphy, this was the teams first time to compete in Community Games and hopefully enjoyed their experience and we hope to see them in years to come.
Fanad girls U15 and U12 won silver medals won in soccer. Fanad has entered girls in community games for several years now and this has been their most successful year having had outstanding success under the manageme nt of John Heraghty and Michael McDevitt and Hughie Walsh.
The Gymnastics team from Letterkenny East won a bronze medal. This was a great achievement for this team also having entered this event on numerous occasions.
