Paul Durcan: Another top drawer performance from the gentle giant from Donegal Town. Must be in the frame for All-Star coronation this year. The save at the death was just brilliant. 9
Paddy McGrath: I counted one misplaced pass, but other than that McGrath had probably his best game in the Donegal shirt. Had a great block to deny Mark Donnelly a goal and has improved again from last year. 8
Neil McGee: Unfortunately not on long enough to rate.
Eamonn McGee: Started on Owen Mulligan and ended up on Stephen O’Neill, McGee had a sound game but was almost caught in the middle of the second half. Used the ball well when coming out of defence. 7
Anthony Thompson: A really solid display from Thompson, who hit one great cross-field pass in the opening half. Was going as well at the end as the first whistle. 7.5
Karl Lacey: Ran himself into the ground and also got on the scoresheet. Took the ball into contact a number of times but has the strength and skill to offload. 8
Frank McGlynn: Outstanding in the opening half and probably should have got on the scoreboard. Dipped a little in the second period, but that was understandable. 7.5
Rory Kavanagh: Back after injury, Kavanagh worked really hard in the opening half, but in the second he became a leader and his two points really put Donegal on their way. 8
Neil Gallagher: Another top display from the Glenswilly man, who was eager for work from the word go. Many were surprised when he was called ashore, but he played his part. 7.5
David Walsh: Did most of his work in the engine room around half-back and midfield and got through a lot of tackles. Was withdrawn for the final quarter. 7
Ryan Bradley: The Buncrana man again got through a power of work and hit a great point. His ability to break the tackle meant he was vital to the Donegal success. 8
Mark McHugh: Hit a good opening point but as in most games, was then employed as a sweeper behind the half-back line and contributed greatly to the win. 7.5
Patrick McBrearty: Got just one point but as in other games in the campaign, his ability to pick a pass has become an integral part of the team. May be used further from goal in future games. 8
Michael Murphy: Was always double marked by Tyrone but still got through a lot of work, some of it in his own defence. Was very good from placed balls. 8
Colm McFadden: It took a while for the St. Michael’s man to get into the game, but had a great period in the second half which coincided with Donegal moving four points clear. 8
Declan Walsh: Had to come in early after Neil McGee was forced off, Walsh looked nervous for a time but then came into the game and was very solid, with one great catch in the second half. 7
Martin O’Reilly: In for David Walsh in the final quarter, he found it difficult to make any real impression. 6
Martin McElhinney: In for Neil Gallagher, like Walsh, he found it difficult to have a bearing on the game. 6
Leo McLoone, Christy Toye: Not on long enough to rate.
