Amber Barrett of Lagan Harps and Sarah Jane McDonald, Greencastle FC, are both included in Dave Connell Irish U-17 Womens side who will play Denmark twice his week in two friendlies.

The Irish side face the Danes at the Frank Cooke Park on Tuesday, September 4 (3.00pm), and Thursday, September 6 (2.00pm).

Ireland will travel to Belarus in October for the first qualifying phase of the UEFA U17 Championships. On October 1 they meet Belarus, on October 3 they meet Georgia and on October 6 they will meet Finland. The winners of the 11 groups go through along with the five runners-up with the best record against the first and third-placed teams, to ensure there are 16 sides in the next phase.
