AODH RUADH: The monthly senior club meeting takes place on Thursday, February 25, in Aras Aoidh Ruadh at 8.30pm. All committee members are asked to attend.
U-8 training resumes this Saturday at 11am in the new school hall or school field. Please note the change of venue, training will not now take place in Father Tierney Park.
There is no U-6 training again this Friday night with the Mercy hall still in use for mock exams. Training will resume Friday, March 5, at 6pm in the Mercy hall.
The Foundation Coaching Course will take place this Saturday, February 27. Coaches are asked to be at the Aras Aodh Ruadh to start for 9.30am sharp. The practical element of the course will take place in the new school hall at Colaiste Cholmcille. Please bring a pen and paper and a USB stick to take notes. The child protection course has been changed to Friday, March 19, at 6.30pm in Aras Aodh Ruadh and not this Friday night as originally planned.
Well done to Aidan Begley and Peter Horan who were part of the Donegal panel who beat Tyrone in the opening game of Donegal's National League campaign last Sunday.
Underage hurling training for U-8s to U-14s begins at 12 noon on Sunday, March 7. All players welcome, especially beginners. Notes will be distributed through the local schools in the coming weeks along with registration forms which can be returned when training starts.

The club are hosting an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Workshop in the Rosses Community School on Monday, March 1, at 7.30pm.The presentation will include an overview of the GAA Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program and information and advice on developing policies and programs for the future. The club would like to have as many people as possible attending including club officers, managers, coaches, players, parents/guardians.
The Club is presently taking names for Club Donegal. The cost is n240 per annum . There is a jacket or jersey on offer both years. Free Entry to club games in the county. The presentation dinner dance was held in Annagry in Caislean Oir on Saturday night past and an excellent night was had, the special guest was Senior team manager John Joe Doherty. The hall of Fame winner was Paddy Biddy O'Donnell. Music was by Shaun McMonagle and the club would like to thank everyone involved in making this night a big success. Our reserve side were beaten by Glenfin last Saturday in the Gaeltacht championship. Training continues for all adult sides in the community centre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings unless informed otherwise.

Unfortunatley the club's U-21 team lost out in the championship semi-final on Sunday against St Michaels. The first half was a close affair with three points in the difference at half-time but in the second half St Michael's were the stronger team.
There was no winner of the lotto and lotto plus at the weekend. Lotto numbers were 8, 14, 16 and 18. Lotto plus numbers were 12, 13, 14 and 23. A meeting regarding the cultural aspects of club life was held in the Abbey Hotel on Wednesday last, February 17. Discussion took place around the Club's participation in Scr and different events throughout the year. It was decided that during Seachtain na Gaeilge the club would provide entertainment on the viewing stand prior to the parade on St Patrick's Day. It was also decided that for L na gClub on Sunday, May 9, we would run a competition for children who wish to enter any of the Scr na ng categories and the winner of each of these categories would go on to represent the club in the autumn county competition of Scor na nOg. Further information regarding this will be available through the schools, local media and the club.

KILLYBEGS: The Galotto had no winner this week. The numbers were 11, 15, 19, and 21. Bridie Molloy, Stragar, Killybegs won n50 consolation. Shane Molloy's team is selling this Saturday, February 27, and Paul McCrudden's team is selling on March 6.

A qualified instructor will be available in the Naomh Columba gym on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, to make up programmes for members. NAOMH CONAILL: Good luck to the U-21s who play St Michael's in the county final this Sunday at 3pm in Ballybofey. They reached the final after beating Four Masters 1-8 to 1-4 in Letterkenny last Sunday.

There was a very sucessful U-8 and U-10 presentation evening the community centre last Sunday. We would like to thank the community centre committee for the use of the centre and the ladies for all their help. There will be a presentation night for the U-12 and U-14 girls teams this Sunday in The Highlands Hotel at 6pm.Everybody is welcome.

NAOMH BRID: The club dlean up day is scheduled for this Saturday, Februrary 27, to prepare the grounds for the new season. As many people as possible are required to speed up progress of work. All persons are asked to be at the pitch by 8.30am. Also please bring any tools you feel may be of use.
Senior and reserve training has been scheduled for Tuesdays from 8-10pm in the Community Centre (n2/player) and on Fridays from 8-10pm at the Astroturf in Ballyshannon (n20/player to cover four weeks).
The club awards night taking place in lieu of the Dinner Dance has been scheduled for this Saturday 27th of February in the Dew Drop Inn, Laghey starting at 9pm. A special guest will be in attendance to present the awards. Admission is n10 at the door with music by Brian O Sullivan and finger food served, a great night is guaranteed.
All club coaches and those interested in completing a course in child protection should give their names to Mickey Quinn for inclusion on a course, taking place next month. Congratulations to Aidan O'Donnell Jnr. who is one of the recipients of the TG4 Gradain Ceoil 2010 Traditional Music Awards. He was awarded Young Musician of the Year. This is a huge honour for Aidan but a deserved one. He has been described as one of the most naturally talented young Donegal fiddle players to emerge in many years. The club would like to congratulate Aidan and wish him well at the upcoming awards. He has represented the club many times through the years at Scor winning county titles and reaching the Ulter finals on several occasions.Aidan always gives freely of his time and talent when called upon has helped the club out on many occasions.He is an inspiration to our young people and a great ambassador for the Donegal fiddle tradition.The award cereomony will be brodcast on TG4 on Easter Sunday, April 4, at 9.30pm

The Din Friel Memorial Competition will take place on Saturday the 13th March in Tri a Loch from 11.30 to 4.00. This is a seven-a-side Gaelic football competition which involves teams representing their particular area challenging for the Memorial Cup. Last year was a great success and we are hopeful that this year will be as good. Further information will be available in the coming days on the website and in the local papers.

GAEIL LEITIR CEANNAIN: The winter underage coaching programme for hurling has resumed in the Aura Leisure Centre on Thursday evenings at 6pm. All underage hurlers are requested to attend and new members are very welcome. Senior training will now switch to Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm sharp.
The underage football presentations took place on Saturday evening last at the vestry at St Conal's. All players received special certificates incorporating the 125th Anniversary of the GAA. Individual award winners for 2009 Player of the year and Most Improved player of the year in the various age groups were U-12:Cormac Cannon and Brian Diver, U-13: Sean McDonagh and Patrick Doherty, U-14: Matthew Curley and Conor McLaughlin, U-16: Ciaran Cannon and Ethan Mulrennan. The U-14s were presented with medals for their outstanding achievements last season and the U-16s were presented with the Division Three county championship medals.
A very successful Letterkenny Gaels Quiz night took place in Arena 7 on Thursday night last. The club wish to thank Arena 7, the Kelly brothers and all teams.

The annual presentation dance was held last Saturday night in the Villa Rose, those who received their awards on the night were U-16 player Kieran Doherty; Minor Player Sean Foy; Reserve Player Martin McGlynn; Junior Player Stephen Dorrian; Senior Lady Karen Guthrie; Junior Lady Ann Marie Logue; Underage Lady Laura Bonner; Club Person Eddie Moy. The members of the reserve team were also presented with their medals for winning the league championship last year, the club would like to thank Fr Lorcan Sharkey and county star Frank McGlynn for presenting the awards.
The reserves got their season off to a good start with a five point victory over Ard An Ratha in the preliminary round of Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta. The final score was 2-10 to 2-5. They now go on to face Naomh Columba at home on the weekend of March 6 and 7.
That same weekend the seniors are away to Baille Na nGalloglach, hope to have times next week. Our U-15s are also due to play Gleann tSuili away on Saturday, March 20. The ladies management team for 2010 is Frank Mc Glynn and Seamus Herron.
The date for the official opening of the new playing pitch and the Sports Centre has been announced, Friday 7th May. Donegal will be playing Mayo in a challenge match, more details shortly. There will be a Bord na nOg meeting next Tuesday in the Sports Centre staring at 8.30pm.

The Northern Board has released its master fixture list for 2010 and many teams have begun training for the new season. There will be a new rota for the training pitch published soon.

Three U-10 hurling/camogie teams competed in the Indoor Donegal League held in the LYIT Sports Hall on Saturday. Great wins were had throughout. St. Eunan's GAA club wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the Brady family from Termon / Kilmacrennan.
NAOMH PDRAIG, LEIFEAR: We played Sean Mac Cumhaill's GAA in a challenge game on Sunday in Mac Cumhaill Park. The game was a chance for Manus and Eugene to get a look at the Lifford men in action against their near neighbors. The game proved difficult for Manus and Eugene has they were left with a selection headache, due to 37 players togging out for Lifford on the day. Manus thanked all the players for coming and togging out and outlined not to be disillusioned and that there will be plenty of more football in the coming weeks for anyone who didn't play on the day. Keep up the good work men! Good performances on the day came from Daniel Mc Nulty, Darren Gillespie, Mark Carlin, Paul Lynch and Barry Mc Nulty.
The club would like to thank Sean Mac Cumhaill's for the hospitality on the day and wish them all the best in their new clubhouse for the coming years.
Parents activity in the training session would be greatly appreciated from Donal, Ciaran, Megan, Ciara, John and Orla! Nothing to serious just small tasks including outlining pitches drills or handing out bibs to the kids.

Hard luck to Oisin O'Brien U12 Singles; Karl Dunnion and Jamie Bell U-12 Doubles; Darragh Crawford and Ronan McMenamin U-14 Doubles and Brendan Gallinagh and Ryan Kelly, who were all eliminated at the semi-final stages. Congratulations to Cormac Muldoon U14 Singles and Shane O'Donnell & Emmett McDermott U17 Doubles who qualified for the Ulster finals. Thanks to Avril McNamee and her team of coaches who put in so much hard work with all our young handballers.

Senior and reserve training commences on Tuesdays at 7pm and Fridays at 8pm. The ladies will host Milford in a friendly match on Sunday, February 28, at 4pm.
Club member Lydia Fowley will be travelling to Malawi in June as part of a group of nursing students to build houses for families who live in substandard accommodation. The group have to raise a substantial amount of money for the trip and Lydia is organising a fundraising match in an attempt to raise funds. The match (men v women) will take place on Saturday, February 27 at 3.30pm. This will be followed by food in Jameson's Bar, Drumkeen. Several club men have bravely volunteered to get their legs waxed on the night. Martin Foy, Patrick Gallagher, Conor McDermott and Michael Browne have signed up to date. More volunteers needed.
