Conrad Logan sprung from the bench
Ramelton native Conrad Logan made his first appearance of the season when he came on as a substitute for Leicester City in their 2-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper came on in the Championship clash with his side already a goal down after first choice netminder Chris Weale was forced to go off after a collision with Marcus Tudgay.
Logan, formerly of Swilly Rovers, made an excellent save from Jermaine Johnson before Leon Clarke netted his second of the day for the hosts on 61 minutes.
Leicester, who remain in fifth in the competitive division, had gone eight games unbeaten prior to Saturday's reversal in Yorkshire. They return to action this coming Saturday when they welcome sixth-placed Cardiff City to the Walkers Stadium.
Elsewhere, in the Scottish Second Division, former Finn Harps captain Conor Gethins made his debut for Peterhead in their 1-1 draw with Stirling Albion at Balmoor. Gethins, from Lifford, came off the bench after 79 minutes with the match still scoreless.
David O'Brien put the visitors ahead two minutes later before Peterhead's Nicky Clark levelled with six minutes remaining.
The share of the spoils means that Peterhead retain fifth position in the 10-team league, with the sides finishing from second to fourth entering promotion play-offs at the end of the season.
