Knitting Classes: Get those knitting needles and crochet hooks out! Knitting and crochet classes starting on Monday nights in the Dartry Centre, Kinlough 7.30pm to 9pm (8 euro per class). Registration Monday, February, 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Learn a new craft or improve your skills and have fun at the same time.

Playschool Fundraiser: A very successful fundraiser was held in Kinlough Community Centre on Saturday at 8pm in aid of Kinlough High Scope Pre-school. The evening, despite very stormy wet weather, had a great turnout and a large crowd of ladies really enjoyed a varied programme which included 3 mothers from the playschool being made over - Agnes McSharry (Hair by Arroo Kinlough, outfit by Glamour girl Bundoran and make up by Beauty by Marie Booth), Sharon Curneen (hair by Marie Therese McGloin, outfit from Second Debut Bundoran and makeup by Beauty by Marie Booth), and Louise Pugh Doherty (hair by Sirons Bundoran, outfit by Image Boutique Bundoran and makeup by Beauty by Marie).

There were also fashion slots from Glamour girl, Second Debut and Image Boutique Bundoran as well as sample treatments for some of the audience including foot readings by Rita McGowan, dry cuts by Arroo Hairdressing Kinlough, nails by Sinead McGowan and makeup by Terese McGloin.

Guest speakers on the night included Sinead Grimes (holistic nutrition), Michelle Bell (Get the new year moving), Derval McGovern (Success in business) and Lisa Keely (angel readings) with Siobhan McGloin doing MC for the night.

A very funny sketch was performed by Antoinette Ryan and Regina Fahy which had the audience in stitches. It was a very enjoyable and successful event with 2,150 euro being raised on the night. The staff of the playschool would like to thank all those involved in the show in any way, all those who donated raffle prizes and helped with music, sound and the hall set up and refreshments.

Rossinver Youth and Community Project: On Wednesday, Feb. 6th at 7.15 pm there will be an Open Evening and Information Session for local community groups.

Sunday, 10th February at 3pm, Open Day for ALL members of the community. All are invited to come down to the Cabin and see the plans for the new community centre, meet the board, find out about the work of the RYCP, and ask questions. This is YOUR Community Centre for YOUR Community. Come down and join us and see what is going on!

Askill Whist Drive: Whist drive in Askill community centre on Sunday, Feb. 3rd at 8pm. Supper

A special word of thanks to Paddy Joe Gallagher and Mary Rooney who kindly came down and showed young and old the art of St Brigid Cross making. A very enjoyable night was had by all.

Parents Association Table Quiz: The Four Masters Parents Association Committee is hosting a fundraising Table Quiz on Friday, 1 March at 9.30pm in the The Wellington Bar Kinlough. 20 euro per team of 4. Prizes galore on the night. Come along and enjoy a great night.

First Aid Course: The Four Masters Parents Association Committee have also organised a First Aid Course by First Aid Aware in Four Masters NS on Saturday, 23 February at 10am. 30 euro and lunch provided

“Tour de Melvin” Fun Cycle Run: A Fun Cycle Run around Lough Melvin will be held on Sunday, February 17th in aid of the Melvin Gaels players’ injury fund and the Lydia Branley Trust Fund.

It will start at Kinlough Community Centre and will go around Lough Melvin finishing at the Community Centre where there will be refreshments. Entry fee is €10 which will be donated to the funds. Social Dancing: Social Dancing has resumed again in Lakeside Centre Ballyshannon every Wednesday

Community Games AGM: The AGM is on Thursday, Feb. 7th in the Old School House, Main Street, Kinlough at 8.30pm. All welcome to attend.

Swimming Competition: Community Games for local area children from Kinlough, Glenade, Rossinver and Tullaghan, will be held on Sunday 7th April at 11am. Please note a change in date. All children U8-U16 welcome.

Mc Gowan Clan Gathering: A meeting will be held in the Community Centre on Wednesday 6th at 8pm to organise the Mc Gowan Clan Gathering which takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend, 2nd to 5th. Everybody who wishes to get involved or has any ideas is asked to come along.

Melvin Gaels Lotto: The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw held in the Village Inn,

Kinlough on Sunday, January 20th were 4, 9, 19 and 21. There was no Jackpot winner. Christmas Hamper Draw - Kinlough Tidy Towns: Many thanks to everybody who supported the Christmas hamper draw and to all the businesses that sold the lines. The winner was Kieran Drummond from Finner and the line was sold in Connacht Gold Co-op, Kinlough.
