Colaiste cholmcille raise funds for North West Hospice

The past two weeks have entailed the arduous task of oral and practical exams for the Leaving Certificate students of Colaiste Cholmcille in Ballyshannon. It was a stressful time for the vast majority and it is time for a little bit of R and R.

The past two weeks have entailed the arduous task of oral and practical exams for the Leaving Certificate students of Colaiste Cholmcille in Ballyshannon. It was a stressful time for the vast majority and it is time for a little bit of R and R.

Sister Helen Kelly was invited into the school to give a motivational speech to the students in anticipation of the weeks of hard work to come. She aimed to help the students to relax and study productively towards their goals for the not-too-distant future.

As a reward for their hard work; two lucky students were awarded a makeover and a photo shoot to top. The lucky pair were Lorcan Lynch and Niamh Foley who had their hair, makeup and clothing done professionally by a group of generous donators: Their hair was taken care of by Teresina Barret of The Hair Box, while Caroline Loughlin of The Beauty Room was in charge of make up for the two. Slevins & Company donated all clothing for the shoot. Feargal McGrath donated his time as a professional photographer to do the shoot and all of these services are very much appreciated.

A Coffee Morning was also held in Colaiste Cholmcille in aid of the North-West Hospice by the classes of T.Y and Leaving Cert. A substantial amount of €484 was raised towards the cause and was presented to the Hospice with a reply of great thanks.
