As childhood obesity is an ever increasing problem in our country, the teachers in St. Eunan’s NS believe it is vital to teach and encourage the importance of regular exercise and healthy eating habits at an early age.

Parents, relatives and friends, including Santa, gathered at the school to join in the celebrations. Local Niamh Brid and Donegal footballer, David Walsh, brought the Anglo Celt Cup to the school and raised their Active School Flag.

The celebrations continued with ‘St. Eunan’s Strictly Come Dancing’ where all children participated in group routines judged by the three judges; Santa, Anne Meehan and Gwen Breslin.

The dance competition ended with a whole school dance performance. All children received a free pass to Bundoran Cinema for all their effort and hard work and the winning team received the ‘St. Eunan’s Dance Champion Trophy’. Santa concluded the celebrations when he gave all children a present before he returned to the North Pole.
