Donegal Town Tidy Towns: The DTT Committee is organising a clean-up of the local area in preparation for the Tidy Towns Competition 2013. We would be glad of your help. Kickboxing: Great reports are coming out of the Donegal Town Kickboxing Club, based at the Studio, Drumlonagher. The Club continues to grow from strength to strength, so for further information on the Club and to get involved check out the club’s Facebook page. This is a great way for people of all ages to get fit, get confidence and learn how to defend yourself and perhaps others and it’s great fun to learn!
Ageing Sensibly: Donegal South Forum, will be holding an information evening on Tuesday 14th May 2013 @10.00am, in the Abbey Hotel, DonegalTown. The information event will focus on Physical Health and Wellbeing. Diabetes, Healthy Eating, Heart Health, Green Exercise, Arthritis will all be prioritised in the event. Four Masters’ Lotto: Results: There were no jackpot winners of the Annual Lotto for Weeks 42 and 43. Winners of week 42 were Trevor Bustard, Clar and Michael McAnaw, Castlederg. Both won E50 each. The numbers drawn for week 42 were 8, 9, 18, 22. This week’s lotto, for week 43, starting Monday 6th May was E1700. There were no jackpot winners of the Annual Lotto for week 43. There were two E50 winners. Marie Gallagher, Doonan and Gareth Britton, Clougher, numbers drawn were 2, 14, 19, 24. Next week’s jackpot is now standing at E1800. Next draw will be Monday 13th May.
Boxing: The local club is flying with great numbers of young boxers involved. Considering how well we are doing as a country internationally in the boxing ring there is plenty to inspire the young boxing enthusiast. Boxing is a fantastic sport, it is not only considered as one of the best means of getting in to incredible shape but it builds great confidence in kids and will stand them well throughout their life. Boxing provides fantastic discipline and it develops endurance and commitment. Boxing training in the St. John Bosco Centre is on Monday (7-9) Wednesday (7-9) and Friday (7-8). Comhghairdeas: Congratulations to Barry Dunnion and Nicola Lacey on their recent marriage, which took place in Malta. A large number of people from the town and beyond attended the wedding, by all accounts a wonderful time was had by all. Wishing the newly married couple a long and wonderful life together.
