Events will run depending on numbers and weather conditions.

Saturday the 11th August

Location: Portnoo

Event: Sailing for beginners starting at 10am. Over 12’ s only.

Entrance Fee: €10.00 per person.

Location: Community Centre , Glenties

Event: Tir Chonaill GAP cycling club run at 9.30 am. Everyone welcome

Entrance Fee: Free.

Sunday 12th August

Location: Gap Walking Trail at Kilraine, Glenties.

Event: Run a Muck Race at 2 pm, Over 16 only. Charity Event- Please Support.

Entrance Fee: €10.00.

Monday 13th August

Location: Dolman Centre, Kilclooney.

Event: Introduction to map reading and navigation. From aged 11 plus.

Entrance Fee: Free.

Monday 13th August

Location: Community Centre, Glenties.

Event: No Sweat Cycling for leisure run by the Tir Chonnaill GAP cycling club at 7 pm.( distance 10 km)

Entrance Fee: Free.

Tuesday the 14th August

Location: Rosbeg.

Event: Come- and- try- it -Kayak , adults only. No experience necessary.

Event: Tir Chonaill GAP Cycling club, Intermediate Run distance 30 km. Everyone welcome

Location: Meeting Point at Ardara church car- park at 10 am.

Event: Strenuous Walk from Maghera to Slievetooey mountain and back along the coast .

(Good Boots and outdoor Clothing Essential)

Location: Meeting Point at Ardara church car- park at 5.30 pm.

Event: Mountain Biking .Over 16’s Only.( Bring your own Mountain Bike)

Thursday the 16th August

Location: Start from Mc Glincheys House, Sand field ( at the end of the L7743, off the R 261)

Event: Guided Walk- Sheskinmore Nature Reserve starting at 11.30am- Duration 2 and half hours.

Location: Gunners Pier, Gweebarra, ( Just after the Green Statue of Liberty)

Event: Canoe Club- Beginners Welcome.

Location: District Mountain Rescue Base in Glenties.( Glen Road) at 8 pm

Event: Educational talk on “The Work of the Mountain Rescue and Hill Safety”

Saturday the 18th August

Location: Portnoo

Event: Flotilla from Rosbeg to Portnoo at 4 pm- Bring your own craft following by Regatta and barbeque at Portnoo Pier.

Saturday the 18th August

Location: Bunglas at 9 am.

Event : Two day Challenge Walk including overnight camping ( Optional) completing the four trig points on map number 10.Camping on Slievetooey Mountain.

Entrance Fee: Blue Stack ramblers Free. €5.00 per day for non – members.

Sunday 19th August

Location: Meeting Point- Divers Filling Station, Killybegs Road, Ardara at 11 am.

Event: Moderate four hour walk to the Oyster Beds in Ardara.

Entrance Fee: Blue Stack Ramblers Free and €5.00 for non – members.

Pony Trekking will be available all week ( Loughros Point ,Ardara), Contact Clint Boyd on 087 2751334. Booking‘s will depend on tides and prices will vary depending on size of Group.
