There’ll be tremendous excitement in Ballintra tomorrow night when the town hosts its first ever Big Country Night, featuring Robert Mizzell and his band ‘The Country Kings’. The mega concert at St Brigid’s Community Centre also includes support from Kieran McAree, and a full bar.

A great crowd is expected for the event, which has been organised as a fundraiser for the recent restoration and upgrading work on the centre.

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Kieran McAree says there’s been an “excellent response” to the gig and “we’re expecting a great night of entertainment, song and dance”.

Robert Mizzell is a household name in country music. He has played gigs all over Donegal and its bordering counties, so is no stranger to this part of the country. Robert made Ireland his home when he moved here from Shreveport, Louisiana in the US and has risen to the top since he moved here. He also established one of the best-regarded bands in country music ‘The Country Kings’.

Doors open at 9pm and the show will begin at 10.15pm. Admission of €15.
