Sympathy: Sincere sympathy to the McGonigle family, Finner, on the death of David. David was a remarkable man, brave, generous, hard working, good humoured and full of ideas and energy. His death, before his time, at 52, leaves a huge void.
Those who had the good luck to know him will testify that he was a man of huge strength and an inspiration to many.
David will be buried on Saturday after Requeim Mass in Bundoran. May he rest in peace.
An idea: Would anyone else think it might be an idea to have a secure cash box placed below the Rory Gallagher statue? This writer thinks if half the people who pose for a photo at his status dropped 50 cent into that box a deserving local cause (my vote goes to the Regeneration Group), would benefit to the tune of several hundred euro in a very short space of time. Is it an idea?
