Ballyshannon Show moves to Finner this Sunday

This year's Ballyshannon Agricultural Show is moving venue, on a once off basis.

The 23rd Ballyshannon Agricultural Show takes place this Sunday, August 21 on lands at Finner, Ballyshannon on the old N15 opposite Finner Camp Army Base.

A spokesperson for the show organisers said they made the decision this week after being advised that the traditional site on the Donegal road would not be suitable because of inclement weather this summer.

The show will host two new All Ireland Finals this year, the All Ireland Continental Sheep Final for Ewe Any Age ( Direct Entry to Show) and the All Ireland Traditional Handmade Craft Final sponsored by Magee 1866.

Judging starts at 11am. Dog Show at 1.30pm. Free face painting and novelty events for children in the afternoon. Bonny Baby competition at 3pm. Meet Darth Vader, Storm Troopers and Atomic, the 8ft Walking Talking Robot.
