DROMORE Ladies Juniors’ P6 squad and some of their P5s headed to Lisnagarvey on Sunday April 21 to play against the Primary 6 team from Garvey.

The day was all about match experience and there was a lot of hockey going on.

The girls left sunny skies in Dromore to more of a mixed weather bag at Hillsborough but Lisnagarvey gave us a bright welcome and the weather did not dampen the girls’ spirits and they played on determined come rain or shine.

As the P6 girls come close to their season’s finish with their big home tournament next week at Ferris Park ,the games were all about gaining match experience.

Next year as they move into Primary 7 they will be involved in the regular U11 tournaments so as part of club and team development they get together with neighbouring clubs to allow the girls to play where the mix of experienced and newer players work together with the coaches to develop their game experience and understanding.

Thank you to Lisnagarvey for a good days hockey. If your daughter is inspired to try out hockey all new/non members in P2-P7 are invited to come along to Ferris Park on Saturday 4th,11th,18th,25th May between 10-11.30am for £2 per week to meet new friends and try a great sport with a great, local club.
