Dunbarton in impressive form

After 10 ends they were 16-2 up and after 15 end they were 16-12 up.

Going into the final end things were all square but a great bowl by Dunbarton’s third sealed the vital win for this rink.

Rink two: Francie Doyle, Aidan Magennis, Chris Trainor, James Kelly.

It was 18-7 after 10 ends and the lead was increased after15 ends to 27-14. James’ quartet were in great form, getting shot after shot. Going into their final end this was easily wrapped up with a great 31-21 win, the highlight being a great game by new third Chris Trainor.

Rink Three: Johnny Gray, Ryan, McElroy, Davy Pedan, Clifford Dennison.

After 10 ends they were 11-7 up and after 15 ends it was 20-11. After the final end Clifford’s rink had got away with an easy 26-16 win. Clifford’s third Davy Pedan made his presence felt with some great deliveries.

Rink four: Gordy Magennis, Billy Strain, Norman Cunninghan, Fergie Larkin. After 10 ends they went 12-5 up. At 15 ends it was 14-14. Going into the final end the locals were 19-17 down but a great double got them all square at 19-19. This was a great team performance by the juniors in this first league fixture.
