Tir Chonaill Gaels heard the very sad news last week of the untimely passing by of Christy Boyle a member of the very first TCG team in 1962.
Christy who hailed from Glenties in Co Donegal had being at a Gaels function only a few years back and passed on his many stories to the current members.
All at the club pass on our condolences to his family and friends at this very difficult time. His funeral mass will take place on Wednesday 19th January 11am at Saint Pauls church, Wood Green, London N22.
Race Night: The club are holding a fundraising Race night on Friday 4th February 2011 in the Office Pub in Northolt with an 8.30pm start.
All members are requested to attend this first event of the New Year, Race cards are available from Stephen Mc Loughlin.

The Club A.G.M was completed in Oak Tree Centre on Friday the 7th January. Congratulations to all returned officers and to newly elected officers and especially to Patricia as our new Secretary and Marie as new Treasurer and best of luck to them and their assistants in the year ahead.
It is great to have more ladies involved in the running of the club. A special mention must go to Denis McGill and Eamon Kelly who stepped down as Secretary and Treasurer respectively after many years of tireless work in these jobs and to Rory Harvey for his hard work as P.R.O. in the past year.
The Minor Board AGM will take place on Friday 14th January at 7.30pm in the Oak Tree Centre, Killygordon. All previous team managers and anyone interested in coaching or just helping out at underage level (boys and girls teams) should attend. The club is actively seeking more assistance with the various underage teams and additional help is always welcome.
Adult club membership is now due at €30. Details and date of Minor Board registration will be confirmed shortly.

NAOMH COLUMBA: At the time of going to press the Gairmscoil na Carraige senior boys football team were due to defend their county title, in the final against the Rosses Community School. The school under 16 team are also due to defend their county title this week, with the final due to be played before Friday. Further details were unavailable at the time of going to press, but the club wish to take this opportunity to wish both teams the very best of luck.
It is now less than a month until the second annual Stars in Their Eyes fundraising event. This is set for Saturday, February 5th 2011, in the Meenaneary Community Centre. Eight local acts will contest this highly entertaining talent contest, and we look forward to another good night this year. Further details will be available closer to the event. ST. NAUL'S:The most important night of the club year is this Sunday night, 16th January, when the minor board AGM is held, starting at 7 o'clock in the clubhouse. We ask for as many parents / supporters as possible to make an effort to attend this meeting to show support for the incoming committee / management teams. NAOMH ADHAMHNAIN: he Minor Board Presentation Night took place in the Silver Tassie Hotel last Friday night with well over 200 adults and children in attendance. Special Guest on the night was Galway Hurlinglegend, Ollie Canning. A big thank you to Ray Durack for getting such a great guest. Paul Hannigan was his usual polished self as MC on the night. Ollie Canning was full of praise for our underage structure and noted the amount of Cups that adorned the top table with the U-13, U-14 and U-16 Boys Footballers all delivering Co. Championships. Thanks to everyone that contributed to making it a memorable night and to Kevn O'Malley for the wonderful pictures on the slideshow.
The Minor Boys Football League Final will take place this Saturday, January 15th at 12 noon in Dunfanaghy against Cloughaneely. Hopefully the lads can add to successful 2010 for the Minor Board.
The Senior Board AGM is on this Thursday (13th Jan.) evening at 7pm in the clubhouse. The list of nominations have been sent by e-mail to the members. An interesting evening is in store as a lot of positions seem set to be contested on the night.

AODH RUADH: The Aodh Ruadh CLG AGM took place last Saturday 8th January in Colaiste Cholmcille. There was an attendance of 53 present for what was a constructive and positive AGM. One of the main highlights was the address of the club president, Jim ‘The Natch' Gallagher, which received a spontaneous and deserved round of applause. The following officers were appointed: Patrons: Father O Fearraigh and Father McManus. President: Jim ‘The Natch' Gallagher; Vice Presidents: Peter Conlon, PJ Buggy, Jackie McDermott, John Murphy and John Magee; Chairperson: Betty McIntyre; Vice-Chairperson: Michael McLoone; Secretary: John Hughes; Assistant Secretary: Marita Maguire; Treasurer: Mary Grimes; Assistant Treasurer: Jimmy Gallagher; PRO: John Hughes; Oifigeach na Gaeilge/Scr: Sylvester Maguire; Alcohol and Substance Abuse Officer: Unfilled; Child Protection Officer: John Travers; Director of Coaching: Sylvester Maguire. The Park Committee were returned en bloc, while appointment of team managers was left over to the first monthly club meeting. The motions progressed as follows. A combined motion to ensure the scoreboard be in operation for club games and that a formal rota be drawn up for stewarding the admission gate for home league games was passed. Motion 2 seeking that the complete county panel participate in all pre-match activity including team photograph, parade and introduction to dignitaries was approved and to be brought forward for Congress 2012. Motions to switch to use of envelopes for club lotto and to reduce the weekly pot for consolation prizes from €200 to €100 were both passed on a show of hands. A motion introducing the post of Player Insurance Scheme Officer was passed and John Magee appointed to the post as was a motion expanding Bord na ng to encompass adult football. The motion proposing that the under 21s compete in the B championship in 2011 fell as the proposer was unable to speak on the matter. Most discussion centred on motion 6: That the club does not field a third team in 2011. After a lively, thoughtful and comprehensive debate it was agreed to reconvene the AGM in a few weeks time to make a final decision on the matter with all adult players asked to attend. Indoor underage training resumes for under 10s, 12s and 13s on Friday 21st January in the New Hall at Colaiste Cholmcille. Under 10s are training between 6pm and 7pm. They are followed by the under 12s and under 13s between 7pm and 8pm. There is a charge of €2 per head. Please bring runners as no other footwear is allowed. Parents/Guardians are asked to please collect children promptly after their session is finished.

Advance notice of the club dinner dance which will take place on Saturday 12th February in Dorrian's Imperial Hotel Ballyshannon. The Ladies football intermediate league and championship winning team and the junior hurling champions, along with the 1986 and 1987 senior football championship winning teams, will be honoured on the night.

The 2011 Annual General Meeting of Four Masters G.A.A. Club took place in Dom's Pier 1 on Saturday December 11th 2010. Secretary, Eamonn Gorrell gave a very comprehensive account of all the activities in the club for the past year while Treasurer, Paul Timoney provided an excellent breakdown of the finances.
Sean Dunnion gave his address as Chairman before the Election of Officers proceeded.
