McMonagle nominated for goal of the year
Donegal's first ladies All-Star Yvonne McMonagle is in the running for the TG4 Football Goal of the Year.
The Glenfin player enjoyed an excellent season with the county side managed by Micheal Naughton and is one of 15 players in with a shout of the award, which will be decided by a public vote on the Irish language station's website, www.TG4.ie. McMonagle's first goal in the All-Ireland Intermediate final win over Waterford, on an afternoon when she bagged 2-5 in Donegal's historic win is the goal in question.
