GAEIL LEITIR CEANNAIN: The Annual General Meeting of the Letterkenny Gaels GAA Club will be held in the Community Rooms at the Church of the Irish Martyrs on Friday, December 10. Commencing at 7.30pm. We appeal to parents of all underage players and all adult players and club members to attend this important meeting to review the year past and plan for 2011.
The Letterkenny Gaels Annual presentation dinner dance will take place in the Silver Tassie Hotel on Wednesday the 29th December. Tickets are priced at 25 Euro and orders should be submitted to Sean McBrearty, John McDermott or Jim McGlynn.Tickets will also be available at the AGM.
The Live to Play Road Safety Initiative, local area workshop for club officers, managers, mentors and players, with a special emphasis on the younger players will take place at the St Eunans GAA centre on Wednesday night 8th December at 7.30pm. All club members should attend this important workshop.
Indoor Gaelic Football training for the U6s and U8s continues at the Vestry in St Conals on Friday evening at 6.30pm. New members are always welcome. Calling on girls aged 9 - 14 years.
Letterkenny Gaels are running a winter fitness programme for girls based on Gaelic games. Come along and try a new sport, make friends and keep fit. It's happening in the Vestry Hall, St. Conal's, on Mondays, 7 -8pm (entry €3) and the fun continues every Monday evening. NAOMH ADHAMHNAIN: What a Night! They will be talking about this one for a long time to come! Well done to all the dancers that took part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing' last Friday night in the Mount Errigal Hotel. The guys and dolls put on a fantastic show for the very large crowd that braved the freezing weather to attend. While Danielle Fay and Eddie Blake took home the winners' trophies, every couple put on a truly spectacular show so thanks to them all for taking part.

The Minor League Division One Final was once again a victim of the weather and will be re-fixed again.
Congratulations to Paddy McGowan and Conor Gibbons who were on the winning DCU first year League winning team. Both lads got on the score sheet in the victory over Jordanstown last weekend. Paddy also had the distinction of captaining the team.
The Minor Board AGM takes place this Thursday night, December 9, at 7pm. The venue has been changed from the clubhouse to the Mount Errigal Hotel. Please be on time. Details of the new officer board will be included in next week's notes. The Minor Board Presentation Night takes place in the Silver Tassie Hotel on Friday, January 7. Full details will be announced shortly and all Northern Board and County medals will be presented on the night.

Our Ladies Board will run their very popular Annual Quiz night in McBride's Corner Bar on Thursday night, December 23. A good night's entertainment is assured and again patrons can expect some great prizes and a very attractive raffle. Given the successful year the Ladies had, a bumper crowd is expected and a light hearted atmosphere will prevail. The Donegal G.A.A. Annual will be available next week, in time for Christmas. Some Club gear in various sizes is available at reduced prices and would be ideal as a Christmas present.
SEAN MACCUMHAILL'S: The AGM of the MacCumhaill Minor Board took place last week. All managers gave very positive feedback on the year's activities and how their teams had progressed throughout the year. Thanks were given to the outgoing committee members and Chairman Gary Gallen for their hard work, dedication and commitment during their term of office. A new committee was formed at the end of the proceedings with John Burke elected as the new Minor Board Chairman. The new committee wish all the underage teams a sporting and successful 2011.
Due to recent inclement conditions we have been experiencing recently, training for the following has not taken place but weather permitting we will be back at training soon. All managers will contact the relevant teams etc when training with dates/days of when training will be resuming.
Girls Gaelic Training: Training for girls U-10 Gaelic takes place every Wednesday afternoon from 4.45pm -5.45pm. Boys Gaelic Training: Training for U-8s takes place every Wednesday evening from 5.50pm-6.50pm.
U-10s takes place every Wednesday evening from 6.50pm-7.50pm. Training for U-12s takes place every Friday from 6pm-7pm. Training for U-13s takes place every Friday from 7pm-8pm.
After an extremely successful introduction to the MacCumhaill's camogie, training will now cease until the New Year. The managers and coaches would like to take this opportunity to wish all the girls and their families a Very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2011.
