Indoor training for children born in 2009-2010 and 2011 will start next Wednesday the 23rd and it will continue for four weeks up until the 4th of December every Wednesday at the same time.

Handball training for National Schools started on Monday the 21st. It is for children born from 2004 to 2008. €2 per child

From the 1st of December 2016 CLG Dun na nGall will have an annual club pass for sale for the 2017 season. This pass will give admission to all adult league and championship matches plus U21 matches under the control of Donegal GAA for 2017 season. It does not include U18 or below. The pass costs €149 and can be booked through the club.

SEAN MACCUMHAILL’S

The annual general meeting of CLG Seán Mac Cumhaills will be held on Monday the 12th of December 2016 at 8 pm in the Clubhouse. The club are delighted to have Anne-Marie McGeehan of Rite Financial Solutions and others on board with their generous sponsorship of club crested hoodies and other support for our under-16 boy footballers who reached both the Northern Board final and the All-county final. A massive thanks to Anne-Marie and the many others for their support of our underage players with such a gesture. We’d like to wish all businesses involved continued success for the future.

There was no winner of this week's lotto. The numbers drawn were 3, 16, 17 and 29. There were three match three winners: Brendan McFeely, Letterkenny, Kathleen O’Hagan, Ballindrait and Liam Kelly, Ash Meadows. This week’s jackpot is still a massive €10,000.

MOVILLE

The curtain came down on our u16s lads season on Saturday morning when they played Gaoth Dobhair in the Northern board Division One Shield final.

Moville dominated for the majority of the game but a strong second half performance from Gaoth Dobhair seen them get back into the game and when the final whistle went at the end they had registered one extra point to take home the silverware on the final score Moville 5-6 to Gaoth Dobhair 5-7. This coming Saturday morning will be our last underage Saturday morning training and it finishes with our annual Christmas Cup. There will be two blitzes for mixed teams of age 6/u8/u10 and u12/14 boys and girls followed by underage presentation.

Underage training will resume in January.

On Sunday the attention switches to our minor ladies as they take on Down champions Bredagh, in Ballykinler, in their Ulster semi final.

The lotto numbers drawn on November 14 th were 7,12,16,23. The jackpot was not won. Next week’s jackpot is €9,300.

After the club’s extremely successful year the clubs annual dinner dance will take place in the Redcastle Hotel on Friday 9th of December and tickets are now on sale from any committee member. As part of our 20 years celebration we propose to have a running slide show at the dinner dance of photos reflecting the successes and development of the club since entering senior football in 1996. If anyone has any old photos of any significance can they loan them to Jimmy Hegarty for scanning and they will be returned immediately contact Jimmy at 9381148 or contact any committee member.

TIRCHONAILL GAELS

The funeral of Vince Keating will take place on Friday 25th November - 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 358 Greenford Road, Greenford, Middlesex, UB6 9AN.

Congratulations to Michael Cunningham our Youth chairman on receiving London Donegal Person of the Year for 2016, at the Donegal Association Dinner Dance, on Saturday night.

Well done to our TCG Youth who picked up medals at the London Youth Presentation at Ruislip, last Friday.

London U16/U18 and U16 provincial winners medals were presented to: Conor Redmond, Sean Rice and Conal Vaughan. London U-18 medals were presented to: Conor McCarthy and Dara Shortall who was also awarded U-18 Player of the Year. Well done also to Daniel O'Connell and Ryan McCready who were unable to attend on the night.

The dinner dance takes place in the clubhouse this Saturday night. Thank you all the committee members who have organised this event and we look forward to a very sociable evening.

The Children’s Christmas Party will take place on Sunday 4th December - 3 to 7 pm with a special visit from Fr Christmas.

MALIN

The lotto jackpot of €1350 was won by Bridget Harkin, Carnmalin, Malin Head. The numbers drawn were 2-7-6-4-5-3-1. Next week’s jackpot is €500.

This year’s AGM will take place on Friday the 9th of December in the clubhouse.

ROBERT EMMETT’S

Congratulations to Linda Harron, the winner of our snowball of €6000 at our bingo on Friday night.

Our underage players had a very enjoyable presentation night in the Blue Haven, on Saturday. The club agm takes place this Friday in the Parish Hall at 8:30pm.

The Red Hughs Bazaar will take place in the parish hall on Sunday the 11th of December at 4:30pm.

CLOUGHANEELY

We are seeking applicants for the following management roles for 2017: senior manager, reserve manager, U-21 manager. Closing date for applications is November 30th.

The minor board will be holding their presentation night in Óstan Loch Áltan on Friday, Nov 25th at 8 pm.

The lotto numbers drawn on Wednesday, November 16th were 4,6,9,11,15,18. There was no jackpot winner so jackpot rises to €3,950. We had 21 match 4s and the one winner drawn was Shane McGee (Ballina) who wins €100. The draw takes place each Wednesday evening at the bingo in Óstan Loch Áltan.

NA ROSSA

The club lotto draw took place last Monday evening in the hall. Numbers drawn were 5.7.10.19. There was no jackpot winner on the night. Two lucky dip winners receive €50 Ann Molloy Fintown and Geraldine Boyle Dooey.

A reminder to all club 50 members that the November draw will take place next Monday evening. All monies are to be in before the draw.

ST NAUL’S

The ladies board agm took place on Sunday evening last. Frankie Greene was re elected as chairman; vice-chair: Beatrice Burke; secretary: Fiona Ward; asst-sec.: Mary Lynch; registrar: Rosita Boyle; child protection officer: Ethel Quigley.

Glen Campbell was re-elected as senior ladies manager. Managers for other age groups will be elected at the next monthly meeting.

The minor board presentation will take place on Friday 25th November at 7.30pm.

The senior agm of CLG Naomh Naille will be held on Friday the 2nd of December 2016 at 8 pm in the Clubhouse.

AODH RUADH

The Annual General Meeting of Aodh Ruadh CLG takes place on Sunday 4th December, in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh at 6pm. Members are invited to email nominations and motions to secretary.aodhruadh.donegal@gaa.ie or text them to 086-2338636, along with the name of the proposer, for consideration at agm.

The deadline for receipt of motions and nominations is 9pm, Friday, November 25th. Nomination and motion papers are available to download from aodhruadh.org. Club membership can be paid for 2017 on the night.

Aodh Ruadh will be staging an underage football awards presentation evening in the Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon on Saturday 3rd December at 5pm. Donegal legend Michael Murphy will be joining us as we celebrate a year of underage football in Aodh Ruadh..

There was a big crowd at Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh for finals night in the under 10 Ballyshannon Shoe Company winter league last Friday. The shield final was won by Morgan McNamee's team D who got the better of Eoin Doogan's team B in a tight competitive match. Team B were unfortunately deprived of their captain Eoin through illness. The cup final was won by Finn Coady's team C in another exciting game with Michael Keown's team A never giving up right to the final whistle. Thanks to Val Murray for refereeing the finals. This was a great league with 44 players taking part over the five weeks.

The Bord na nÓg AGM takes place on Wednesday, 23rd November at 8pm in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh.

The Ladies AGM took place in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh on Saturday evening. Eoin O’Moore, as he had previously indicated, declined to stand for re-election as chairperson. He was thanked for all his work on behalf of Aodh Ruadh Ladies. Patricia McShea-Hill accepted re-election to the post of vice-chairperson and was duly appointed. Other appointments made were as follows: secretary Willie Scott; fund-raising Teddy Kane; PRO John Hughes; Child Protection Officer John Travers; County Reps: Willie Scott, Teddy Kane, Sara Gallagher (players representative); Lotto Organisation Siobhan McGarrigle; LGFA Registration Linda Clyne, Siobhan McGarrigle and Eoin O’Moore. The AGM was then adjourned until early January 2017 with a date to be notified in due course.

The juvenile hurling agm will take place on Tuesday 29th November at 8pm. All interested in underage hurling are asked to attend. Anyone who can't make the meeting, but feels like getting involved is asked to contact John Rooney 086-2587793.

Our annual Christmas quiz will take place in Owen Roe's on Thursday 15th December. Always a good night of fun and craic.

There was a large crowd in attendance in the Saint John Bosco Centre in Donegal Town on Friday night for the last of the Scór na nÓg semi-finals and Aodh Ruadh were well represented on the night.

Our young quiz team of Beth Flood, Laoise Kelly, Clodagh O'Connor and Lauren McHugh were up against eight other clubs with only the top two qualifying for the Tráth na gCesiteanna final. Many thanks to their teacher Eamon Martin Maguire for all his help with the girls' preparation. Amy Carney took part in the aithriseoireacht / scéalaíocht - recitation / storytelling competition and qualified for the county final. Many thanks to her teacher Áine Roper.

Tickets are on sale now for the National Club Draw priced €10. Once again there's a serious line-up of prizes. Donegal County Board is also making a prize fund of €2,500 available which will stay within the county. All funds raised by club members go to Aodh Ruadh.

An meeting of all men players, over the age of 17, who wish to play senior or reserve football next season will take place in Fanavolty Hall, next Saturday evening November 26th at 7.30 pm.

Greg Harkin, Donegal U13 manager thanked all the girls who attended trials over the past couple of weeks. Our own Kate Sweeney was asked to return to Colaiste Ailigh again this Saturday. Best of luck Kate.

FOUR MASTERS

Four Masters AGM will be held in Dom’s Pier 1 on December 4th at 7.30pm. Nomination forms and motion forms available in Abbey Hotel and Mullins shop.

One of the three semi-finals took place in the St John Bosco centre last Friday night.

Those who qualified from the club to go forward to the county final are as follows: Rince Foirne and Ceol Uirlise. .

Many thanks to all the club members who helped out on the night without them the night could simply not happen. The smooth running of the night was a credit to all who helped in any way.

The club will be starting Irish Classes after Christmas. The minor board are looking for donations of any outgrown sportswear, boots, runners etc for a sale in February. There will be a collection day in the club rooms, Fintra on Sunday 27th November at 2 pm . All proceeds of the sale to go to the minor board.

The club are also looking for donations of any office furniture, filing cabinets, desks etc that would suit our newly renovated office. Please contact a committee member.

There will be a 7s competition for 16-18 year old lads in the club on Sunday, 27th at 2pm in Fintra.

The club are having lots of interest and people enquiring about Operation Reformation. The great news is that it will be back in January.

The Club continues to plans for the years ahead, including the hosting of the National Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta 2021. The funding will allow for disability access and viewing areas, social inclusion focus and various improvements all aimed at making the Club one that is at the Centre of the Community.

NAOMH BRID

There was no overall winner of this week’s lotto draw. The jackpot now stands at £3,150. The numbers drawn were 9, 10, 15, 21, 24.

The £25 winners were Alan Quinn, Marie Rooney, Joseph and Mags Griffith, Christopher Price. The next draw takes place in the Dew Drop Inn, Laghey, on 28th November.

The club are running the GAA draw with a car as the star prize. Tickets are priced £10 and available from our club volunteers.

Concert is due to take place in the Community Centre on 9th December. Local talent taking part.

LETTERKENNY GAELS

The GAA National Draw was launched recently with some fantastic prizes to be won. Priced at only €10 the tickets are on sale from various Club contacts.

Sympathy is extended to Mark O'Leary and the extended Friel family on their recent bereavement.

During the winter months ladies circuit based training will take place indoors at the Gaels Clubroom. The training for 16s to adult continues every Friday evening. For the younger girls from 12-16 years is on every Monday evenings also at the clubhouse.

Club Passes are available to purchase now through the Club. The cost of the Pass is €149 and can be purchased by contacting 086 2271435.

GLENSWILLY

There was a great turn-out for the agm in the clubhouse on Sunday afternoon last. On the day there were a number of changes to the committee as well as a number of managerial changes at various levels.

Peter McConnell, having served the club as chairman for the past two years, stepped down and was replaced by Eddie Crawford.

John McGinley also stepped down as assistant treasurer and was replaced by Declan Doherty who will work alongside treasurer Bryan Faul.

The most noteworthy managerial appointment was that of senior team manager which was filled by Aidy Glackin as Michael Canning stepped aside after two years.

The success of our under-age girls’ teams shows the great progress that has been made here over the last few years. From a club point of view this has to be seen as a very positive step forward.

There was no winner of this week’s Bunotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 1,5,11, 13, 17. The €50 winners were Riona McHenry, Newtown Road, Bundoran; Amanda Mahon, Ballyshannon; Pat Walsh, Gaelic Park Drive Bundoran. Next week’s jackpot will be €4700.

Although all competitions have now ended for the year now is the time that we ask people within our community to contemplate getting involved with underage teams for 2017.

The senior agm will take place on Sunday 27th November at 3pm, in the Holyrood Hotel.

AN TEARMAINN

The annual general meeting is on Saturday 3 December at 6pm in An Craoibhín.

Last week's lotto draw took place in the Lagoon, and the numbers drawn were 17, 19, 23 and 25.

There was no jackpot or match 3 winner, and open draw winners were Bernard Brady, Kilmacrennan and Rose Baird, Creeslough.
