Donegal GAA officials have launched an investigation into the recent All County League Division One game between Naomh Conaill and Kilcar.
The match, which was played on Sunday week last in Davy Brennan Memorial Park in Glenties, was marred by a number of ugly scuffles towards the finish and again at the end of the game.
While nobody was available from the Donegal CCC for comment ahead of going to press, the Democrat has learned that the Donegal CCC decided at a meeting on Tuesday night to set up a special committee to carry out an investigation into the league decider.
The Democrat has also learned that Kilcar have called for an investigation into the game.
The CCC are also believed to have reviewed referee Seamus McGonagle’s report on the match, on Tuesday night.
