In just over two weeks' time the revelations of one of the first of the All-Ireland winning starting team of 1992 will be revealed.
'Confessions of a Gaelic Footballer,' the autobiography of Donal Reid, will be launched in the Abbey Hotel. The event will be held on Saturday, 22nd October at 8 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
All profits from the sale of the book, which will cover the life story of the Crossroads man, will go to a charity close to his heart, Pieta House.
The book is about football, but also about much more, detailing a life growing up in Crossroads and then extending to Galway, Germany, London, South Africa, Romania and Medjugorje.
But football is at the core and if you want to know why Martin Griffin was missing from Donegal training for a couple of weeks during winter snow, then you must buy this book. The former Donegal full-back features heavily, and there are many funny anecdotes.
Next week we will publish an extract from the book as a taster of what you can look forward to.
