Four Masters had a strong first half scoring three well-worked team goals, finished to the nets by Aine McGroarty, Aoife and Elizabeth Mackle, providing a halftime lead of 3- 3 to 1-1. The seniors and reserves both exited their respective championships at the semi-final stages over the weekend. The seniors lost out to Milford. Meanwhile the reserves made a fight of things in the first half of their clash against Buncrana in the unusual surroundings of St Eunan's college. They trailed by four points at the break, but looked like they were in with a real chance of grinding out a result. However the Inishowen men went up a gear or two in the second period to run out comfortable 4-15 to 2-9 winners.

Hard luck to Maurice McLaughlin, Liam MacLaughlin and Philip O'Reilly and Erne Gaels who lost out in the Fermanagh county final by the narrowest of margins.

A busy week for the under 13 girls last week. They were in Kinawley last Wednesday to take on a highly rated side in pretty awful conditions. The girls showed up well with all players getting 20 minutes, whether they liked it or not! The defence was excellent with the Fermanagh side scoring infrequently. Tia McFarland was excellent in midfield while Katie O'Brien was exceptional up front and Caoimhe Hughes-O'Brien made a big contribution. Annie Keon was also good up front in the second half. Clodagh O'Connor was in good form as was Danielle Gallagher. There were points up for grabs on Saturday afternoon in Killygordon when they faced Red Hugh's. Despite the long trip and a delayed throw-in the girls settled well and were quickly out into the lead. Caitlin McGarrigle leading the scoring in the early stages with a penalty goal and a point, she got excellent scoring support from Katie McMullan and Danielle Gallagher. Again the defence, steered by the magnificent Ciara Caldwell, was unforgiving and the hosts had to make do with a return of 1-1.

There was no winner of last week's lotto jackpot of €6,500. The winning numbers drawn were 1, 5, 6, 7, 11 and 16.
