First half goals ease St. Eunan's to victory over Buncrana

Sean McGettigan, Michael Miller, Oisin Carr and Niall O’Donnell scored the goals as St Eunan’s defeated Buncrana in Hibernian Park, Burt in the U21A quarter-final on Saturday.

St Eunan’s 4-8

Buncrana 0-11

McGettigan, Miller and Carr all found the net in the first half to give the men from O’Donnell Park a commanding 3-3 to 0-6 half-time lead.

And while Buncrana, who defeated St Eunan’s in the 2013 minor championship final, did raise a gallop in the second half, St. Eunan’s had nine points to spare at the finish.

Caolan McGonagle, Darach O’Connor and Bruce Waldron posted points before Niall O’Donnell struck for goal number four on the three quarter mark to seal the win.

O’Connor top-scored for Buncrana who played up to three quarters of the game with 14 men after Andrew Doherty was sent off ten minutes before half-time.

St Eunan’s will now face Naomh Conaill in the county semi-final.
