GAA president Aoghán O’Fearghail is coming to Gaoth Dobhair next week to launch the club’s new five year strategic plan.
The president will officially launch CLG Ghaoth Dobhair’s five year Strategic Plan on Wednesday, 21st September in the clubhouse in Machaire Gathlán.
Work on the plan commenced in February of this year, and submissions were received by a large number of club members to define a pathway for the next five years.
The main themes covered under the Strategic Plan are coaching and games development, structure and administration, finances, facilities and developments, communication and Gaeilge agus Cúrsaí Cultúir.
Much of the focus in the plan is on coaching and games development, with twelve of the 49 objectives in the club plan focused on games development.
During his visit, Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Aogán Ó Fearghail will also carry out the official opening of the recently refurbished CLG Ghaoth Dobhair clubhouse bar.
An open invitation is being extended to all club members to attend the launch which is timed for 7pm.
