Aodh Ruadh proved much too strong for neighbours, Bundoran, in the Southern Minor semi-final in Tirconaill Park, Donegal Town.
Aodh Ruadh 4-14
With powerhouse Oisin Rooney unstoppable at full-forward, the result was never in doubt once he fired home the first goal on 16 minutes.
Up to that point, Bundoran were competing with just a point between them after 10 minutes, Aodh Ruadh leading 0-3 to 0-2, Rooney, Shane McGrath and Conal Sweeney for Aodh Ruadh and two Cian McEniff frees for the Seasiders.
Shane McGrath added two more before Rooney finished a move started by a neat tap down at midfield by Jason Granaghan.
By half-time the lead was out to 2-8 to 0-4, thanks to a penalty on the stroke of half-time from Nathan Boyle after Rooney was fouled.
Niall Carr, who along with Cian McEniff, Paul Murphy, Cody Granaghan and Timmy Goverov, tried manfully for the losers, had a point inside seconds of the restart but Rooney replied with two of his own.
Twelve minutes into the second half, a long ball by Nathan Boyle, was broken by Rooney and Michael McKenna was on hand to fire home the third goal.
The scoring dried up for both sides after that before the fourth goal arrived on the stroke of Mark Brown's final whistle, an effort from Jason Granaghan well blocked, but the ball richocheted off a Bundoran defender and ended in the net.
Apart from Rooney, this was a good all-round Aodh Ruadh display with Sean Taylor once again magnificent between the posts.
Aodh Ruadh will play Naomh Conaill in the divisional final after Ardara had an easy passage against Ardara by 3-16 to 1-5, after leading by 3-9 to 0-0 at half-time.
