The seniors drew against Malin in the championship in a game which they should have won with a disallowed goal in the second half and having led the match up until the final ten minutes. However, they are still top of the group table this evening and a win or draw away to Mc Cumhaills next Sunday would see them into the last eight.
The Reserves put on an exhibition of score taking complimenting their support play against Malin reserves in a very one sided match. A big Naomh Muire thanks to the Mullachdubh Band who played 'Amhrán na bhFiann' before the championship match on Sunday.

Aodh Ruadh booked their place in the intermediate championship quarter-final draw with a comfortable victory over Naomh Colmcille Sunday.
The under 13s lost their first game of the league campaign against Four Masters on Sunday evening in Tir Chonaill Park.
The under 10s took the bus to Castlebar last Saturday with 34 players for a tournament hosted by the local Mitchel's club. The homesters had four teams, Ballyshannon fielded three teams, while Claregalway of Galway and Grange of Sligo both had two sides taking part.
There will be an under 9 blitz in Donegal town on Saturday 10th September.
The under 8s took part in the finals day in Ardara last Friday giving a good account of themselves at a very competitive blitz. This Saturday we will be hosting Ardara and Glencar Manorhamilton in Ballyshannon. The action gets underway at 11am.
Our U8s and U10s hurlers travelled to the Centre of Excellence in Convoy on Sunday for the all-county blitz. Well done to Nathan Owens-Kelly and Senan Rooney who were key members of the Donegal under 14 Development Squad who did very well in the All-Ireland blitz in Ratoath on Saturday.

The seniors recorded a superb win over Glenfin in the senior championship on Saturday to ensure it was all to play for on the final day of the group stage. The reserves made it two wins from two games in the championship with a win over Glenfin.

On Monday evening our young ladies minor team took on Dungloe in the Ladies Minor Football Championship quarter final. Despite their best efforts the girls lost out to a stronger Rosses side.

Our Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 11th September at Pairc na nGael. In conjunction with the Fun Day we are running a Poster Competition for U-6, U-10 and U-14 years. The theme of the poster is 'Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn-20 bliain ag fás' because this year we celebrate twenty years of Letterkenny Gaels.
Posters to be on A4 paper, name and age and address on the back of the poster. Entries to be brought to the Clubhouse on the Family Fun Day. Entry fee of €1. Winning posters will be printed, framed and put up in the clubhouse. Prizes for each age category.
The U-12 hurlers continued their winning spree last Thursday evening with a decisive win against Setanta in Killygordan.
The U-8 and U-10 hurlers took part in a blitz at the Donegal GAA Centre of Excellence in Convoy on Sunday. The opposition on the day were Carndonagh, Mac Cumhaills, St. Eunan’s, Buncrana and Setanta. Both Letterkenny Gaels teams played exceptionally well winning most of their matches. It was great to see U-14 player Alex Wylde assisting with the U-10 team.

Our U-8 footballers hosted a very successful blitz last Saturday in the sunshine at Pairc na nGael.
Three visiting clubs fielded two teams each to produce a feast of football. Teams from St Eunan’s, Glenswilly and Sean MacCumhaills travelled to Pairc na nGael to participate in the blitz.

Our ladies team lifted their first championship trophy after victory in the Junior B decider against Glenswilly, on Sunday. This is the team's second trophy of the year having lifted Corn Soisir na Gaeltachta in Glenties in May. They have two further league competitions to complete and are in with a chance of claiming more silverware in those competitions. Our minor girls booked their place in the championship semi final after coming out on top in a tough battle with Glenfin.
Our u16 boys followed the example set by our senior ladies today when they brought silverware back to peninsula after a tight battle with Termon in Milford. Aidan McAteer and Hughie Shiels' team needed extra time for their third game in succession but finished the stronger to claim the cup. Captain Matthew Gallagher lifted the cup.

A brilliant Family Fun & Health Check Awareness Day was held in the Park last Saturday with a large crowd in attendance. It was organized by our Health & Well Being Officers Alan O’Connell and Eugene Duffy. Good news is that Peter McGeehin was spotted back in the Park on Tuesday evening walking unaided.
