The senior men had a good win over Downings at home on Saturday night.

The new pool room is now open every Saturday and Sunday evenings in the clubhouse for anyone looking to play a game of pool. Pool competitions will be run in the Autumn. The club held a Ceili last Friday, well done to everyone who helped organising it and supplying the food on the night.
The club would lish to wish Eamonn Doherty Edwards, former Malin player from the 50’s and 60’s, all the best in his recovery after his recent illness. He is now on the mend and we hope to see him back soon supporting Malin. The club would also like to wish Gerard Green a speedy recovery from his knee injury picked up in last week against Four Masters.
The seniors went two points clear at the top of the league following a hard fought win against Gaoth Dobhair in front of a big crowd in Towney on Friday evening. The reserves were defeated by a very strong Gaoth Dobhair side.
Commiserations to the Donegal minor team who lost to Galway in the All Ireland semi-final Brian O’Donnell, Gary Molloy and Daniel Lyons all came on as second half subs.
The minor championship second leg match against Aodh Ruadh has been cancelled; no new date fixed as yet.

The seniors picked up two valuable points in Buncrana on Saturday evening. the course of the game. Ryan McGonigle was also unstoppable, hitting two points and was very unlucky not to hit a late goal after a great save by Sean Parker. Half time score was Fanad 1-4 to 0-1 Buncrana.
The U16 boys defeated Carndonagh in the Northern Division Two final last Monday evening. Best of luck next Sunday (time and venue to be confirmed) when our boys take on Termon in the Northern final.
The Swilly Mulroy Parish League are on this Thursday evening in Traigh a Locha beginning at 6 pm.
Last Saturday evening in Dooey the senior squad secured another vital two points with victory over Carndonagh.
The under 13s season gets under way this Sunday evening with an away fixture against Naomh Brid/Pettigo.
The club’s committee would like to thank Aidan and Ann Marie Bonner TGC and the Doochary Festival committee on their recent fundraising event as the club were presented with a cheque for €1956.
The under 12s squad had a day they will never forget last Tuesday as they traveled to Croke Park to participate in the Ulster activities day.
On the day they had a tour of the stadium and then played in a go games competition in which all our players had the opportunity of playing on the hallowed Croke Park sod.

The ladies played Robert Emmets in the championship on Sunday, in a tight game that ebbed and flowed the two teams couldn't be separated. It went to extra time but unfortunately had to be abandoned because of an injury to a Robert emmets player.

The division three league clash between Burt and Ballyshannon last Saturday saw the Inishowen men prevail by the minimum in Hibernian Park.
This Sunday sees Aodh Ruadh's bid for a first ever Intermediate championship title resume with the visit of Naomh Colmcille to Fr Tierney Park.
Commiserations to the Donegal minors who lost out to Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final. The club is very proud of the parts played by Nathan Boyle, Shane McGrath and Oisin Rooney in winning the Ulster title, as well as the contribution of Mick McGrath in the back room team.
The under 10s had their last blitz of the season last Saturday at Four Masters, giving a great account of themselves and winning all three of their games.
The under 8s will be taking part in the finals day in Ardara this Friday 26th August.
The senior hurlers sank to another championship defeat on Friday evening. They lost out away to MacCumhaill's on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-8.
On Tuesday last we were delighted to have four of our under 12 hurlers taking part in the annual Croke Park Activity Day. Some 36 under 12 hurlers from the county were selected for this great event. Aaron Cullen, Danny Breen, Ryan Keenaghan and Aaron Neilan were the lucky lads.
The under 12 hurlers had another comprehensive victory on Thursday, this time against the youngsters from the famed Burt club.
The All-Ireland inter-county blitzes take place this Saturday. The Donegal under 14s are based in Abbotstown and are in a great group with Carlow, Derry and Sligo. We are delighted to have Nathan Owens-Kelly and Senan Rooney on this squad.
The under 16s got their first win of the league campaign with a convincing victory over Four Masters last Tuesday.

The senior football teams had mixed results last weekend at Pairc na nGael when they welcomed Naomh Bríd. The reserves lost their game while the seniors won by the minimum.
Our Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 4th or 11th September at Pairc na nGael. (Date to be confirmed). In conjunction with the Fun Day we are running a Poster Competition for U-6, U-10 and U-14 years. The theme of the poster is 'Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn-20 bliain ag fás' because this year we celebrate twenty years of Letterkenny Gaels. Posters to be on A4 paper, name and age and address on the BACK of the poster. Entries to be brought to the Clubhouse on the Family Fun Day. Entry fee of €1. Winning posters will be printed, framed and put up in the clubhouse. Prizes for each age category.
On Thursday evening our young U-12 hurlers made the journey to The Scarvey to take on Buncrana in the U-12 league.
Both teams put on a great show of hurling with the Gaels claiming a deserved victory.
The U-8 footballers travelled to 'The Glen' this week to play against Glenswilly.
During the week, five Letterkenny Gaels U-12 hurlers, Matthew Winters, Cian Page, Caolan Boyle, Conal Boyle and Finn Doherty went to Croke Park to play in a blitz with thirty other players from hurling clubs across Donegal. Among these were rival clubs St.Eunan's, Buncrana, Burt, Setanta, Ballyshannon Gweedore Mac Cumhaills and Carndonagh.
Congratulations to Senior ladies player Leona Russell who played for the Irish Banshees in London at the weekend in the AFL European Championships.
The U-12 girls football training takes place at the pitch every Sunday morning from 11am-12noon.
The Senior team face v Dungloe this weekend in the Michael Murphy Sports Championship. The game throws in at 3.00pm in Glenswilly and will follow the Reserve team game which throws in at 1.15pm.

This Sunday Senior Ladies play in Junior B Championship County Final. They face Fanad Gaels in Milford at 11am. Good luck to all involved.

Under 13 girls training will begin on Thursday 1st September. It will be at the main pitch from 6-7pm. Under 13's have their first game at home against Red Hugh's on Saturday 3rd.
Training for Under 16 girls is on Friday evenings at the training pitch from 6.15-7.30pm. Next game is on Tuesday 30th against Termon.
The Under 13s team had a good first league win over Red Hughs while the development team were beaten by Moville.
The Glendowan National School fun, run, walk takes place this Sunday. The event starts at 11.30am but registration is on the morning at McClafferty's Bar in Churchill from 9.30am on the morning of the race.

Up next Naomh Columba in the championship away on Sunday. Naomh Brid reserves recorded a very good victory winning on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-8. Our scores came from Liam Duffy, Sean Rooney, Gerard Martin, Stephen Doherty, Stephen McDaid, Adam McClay, and Pauric Gormley. Our reserves also face Naomh Columba on Sunday in the championship.
