I thought I was on Tra na Rossan last Saturday at Mary's Lady Captain's Day - everywhere I looked, there was a picture of the beautiful Downings beach. Mary made sure everyone had a great day from start to finish - so much for low key. We were treated to luxurious refreshments before we went out, a goody bag and a real sweet shop with all the things we pretend we don't eat - all with a purple theme. The day was lovely, if a bit windy, but we are used to that in Dunfanaghy. The best score on the day was by Laura McElhinney who has amassed a fair number of points in the last few weeks and reduced her handicap accordingly. Well done, Laura, who thanked professional Seamus McMonagle in her acceptance speech. I guess Seamus is going to be busy.

Mr O'Sullivan from Letterkenny kept everyone on the floor (please check photographs on Dunfanaghy Golf Club Face Book page). Mr O'Sullivan and Lady Captain go back to UNIFI days, if you remember that, but don't tell Mrs O'Sullivan. A great day and a night - follow that Mr Captain.
