Seán Carlin took the B&S Donegal Youth (U16s) team to Gweedore Golf Club. Having come here with a two matches to one match up, it ended all square so a group from each club was set off on a sudden death mission and on the second playoff hole, young Alex McGeehan had a brilliant chip from a very awkard lie and the ball ran about six foot past the hole. With both Gweedore lads putting first for their pars and both missing, Thomas McMenamin stepped up to putt for par but it agonisingly just missed the cup. With just McGeehan left with a chance to win the hole, he lined it up from behind, stepped up and sank the putt to the cheers of his fellow team mates. They now meet Letterkenny in the next round. Best of luck lads.
B&S Youth Team: Ryan Griffin/ Michael Curran, Joel Bradley Walsh/Patrick Carr and Alex McGeehan/Thomas McMenamin.

Junior Golf: Last weekend saw the staging of the final of the inaugural Paul McGinley Junior Challenge Cup between Max McGreevy and Conor Hanna. It turned out to be a very closely fought match but it was Max McGreevy who eventually came out on top after it took two extra play off holes to separate the boys. Well done to Max and to all those who took part in the competition.
In the senior boys competition, we had a new winner with Oisin Randals winning with a great score of 40 points. Second was James Marriott on 37 points with Ben Smyth in third on 36 points.
