Mark English ran a season best time at an IAAF Diamond Jubilee meet in London on Friday night.
The Letterkenny man ran an impressive time of 1:45.36 in the 800m race in what was his last race before heading to Brazil later this week for next month’s Olympics in Rio.
English along with the rest of the Athletics Ireland squad, under Irish Track and Field manager, Patsy McGonagle, fly out to Brazil on Thursday for their final training camp ahead of the Olympics.
Friday night’s run was an encouraging one from English, who has had his preparations for the Games hampered with injury.
