Kenna goal gives Bray victory over Finn Harps

Conor Kenna headed the only goal of the game to give Bray Wanderers a narrow win over Finn Harps on Saturday night.

Bray Wanderers 1

Finn Harps 0

For Harps it was a first defeat in five games and means the recent run of good results comes to an end.

However, with Longford Town well beaten by Derry City on Friday night, Harps are still well placed in the table.

They remain on 23 points, 15 clear of bottom of the table Longford, and seven ahead of Bray.

Kevin McHugh made his first league start of the season but it was Bray who enjoyed the better of things in the first half.

Despite a number of good chances, they only led 1-0 at the break. Kenna headed in a corner after a spell of pressure from the home side.

Substitute Ruairí Keating went closest to an equaliser, shooting just over after the hour.
