Cé nach raibh an aimsir thar moladh beirt ní chuir sé isteach ar na ceatha daoine a bhí sa cheantar do "Lá Mhór Theilinn", nó ar an iomaíocht mhór idir thar scór foirne a bhí páirte sna deich rannóg i Regatta Theilinn.
Bhí 10 club páirteach ann, Club Iomartha Theilinn, Na Cealla Beaga, An Bhroclais, Inbhear, Tamhlach an tSalainn, The Village, Báigh Dún na nGall, Áilt a Choráin, CCF Cloch Cheann Fhaola agus Pointe Loughros.
The many hundreds of spectators were treated to some great displays of oarsmanship in closely contested races. Competition was strong across the 7 underage categeries. The Mountcharles boys held off Teelin in the U14 boys race & Inver won the U14 Girls race with the Teelin girls close behind. Inver overcame the challenge of Killybegs 2nd, and Teelin 3rd in U16 Boys & Killybegs U16 girls had victory over Teelin. In U18 Boys, Loughros came out on top with Killybegs 2nd & CCF 3rd. Killybegs won both the U21 Boys and Girls races, with Donegal 2nd in the boys race & Inver 2nd & Loughros 3rd in the girls.
12 crews took part in the mixed category with Donegal coming 1st, Loughros 2nd & Donegal 3rd. 6 crews took part in the Ladies category won by Mountcharles, Donegal 2nd & CCF 3rd. In the Mens, 10 crews participated with Burtonport putting in a powerful display coming 1st, and MC on the day, Micheal Curran, stating that the Port have been the dominant crew in Donegal over the past 10 years, CCF 2nd and a young Loughros Point crew produced a fine row to come in 3rd.
