Donegal and Monaghan will meet in a replay after Saturday night's Ulster Senior Championship semi-final ended level at Kingspan Breffni Park.
In a hugely exciting encounter, Donegal got themselves in front in the closing stages of the game when Odhran MacNiallais scored their goal.
For much of the second half, Monaghan held the lead.
The sides had been level at half time, 0-6 to 0-6.
But Monaghan held the upperhand after the break with Conor McManus scoring eight points.
Three of those scores came from late frees, including one deep into six minutes of injury time. Earlier in the half, Donegal were reduced to 14 men when Martin McElhinney was shown a black card, followed by a red card.
Donegal's minor team won the curtain-raiser against Monaghan. They were victorious in their semi-final on a scoreline of 3-15 to 2-12. Donegal will meet Derry in the Ulster Final.
