Neil McGee appeal to be heard tonight

It is learned that the Donegal appeal against the two match ban handed to Neil McGee will be heard tonight (Tuesday) by the Hearings' Committee in Croke Park.

McGee was handed a two match ban after receiving a straight red card just before half-time in the quarter-final clash with Fermanagh on Sunday, 12th June.

The ban would rule him out of next Saturday's Ulster semi-final against Monaghan and also the next game that Donegal would be involved in - either an Ulster final or Qualifier.

Donegal officials did not want to speak on the issue at the recent press day ahead of the Saturday's game and fingers are crossed that the McGee ban can be overturned.
