The busy programme of 5k road races in Donegal continues tomorrow night with the Glenswilly GAA club's annual race.

A great crowd is once again expected with all proceeds from the event, which takes place at 7.30pm, going to the development of underage teams at the club.

Although dubbed a race, a major emphasis will be placed on the fun element of the evening and people getting out in the fresh air.

There will be prizes throughout the various categories and everyone who completes the race, both walkers and runners, will receive a goodie bag courtesy of main sponsor Michael Murphy Sports.

And the one thing which will be guaranteed on the night is the best of post-race refreshments.

Over the years the event has received a name for having the finest of sandwiches and buns and this year promises to be no different.

Showers will also be available on the night after the race.

Pre-registration take place in the clubhouse from 6.30pm until 8pm this evening (Monday) and on the evening of the race from 6-7pm.

The entry fees costs €8 per adult and €2 per child with a maximum fee of €20 per family.

Chipped times will also be available for those keeping an eye on their running progress on what is a fast course.

So put the date in your diary - Glenswilly 5k - tomorrow night Tuesday at 7.30pm.

And with the forecast giving a fine evening with plenty of sunshine, it will be the perfect way to pass the evening while staying healthy.
